Getting your Liquor License

There is nothing harder than having opened your business, only to realize you missed out on something really important. If you are looking to open a restaurant or a bar or a general eating place in the Texas area, you are going to need to get a liquor license. It is the only license in the entire state that is going to allow you to serve alcohol at your establishment. And as you may know, eating places make a lot more money if they have a liquor license and can serve alcohol! And we all know bars cannot open if they cannot serve alcohol!

So make sure you are taking the steps to get your TABC license as quickly as possible. It is the only way you can make sure you are not going to run into any issues when it comes to serving liquor at your establishment. And the quicker you complete the process, the quicker you can make sure you are not going to run into any problems. The last thing you want is to get in a situation where you do not get your license until the last minute. It will cause you a lot headache and may potentially ruin your business plan.

Say you planned on getting your license a week before you open. The license may take you a month to obtain, which means you are going to miss out on three to four weeks of time where you could have been open and making money. Delays are no good in the service industry, especially as a new restaurant or bar owner, and you have to make sure you are on top of things at all times. So take a look at the permitting process and make sure you are following all the appropriate steps.
